Tile Redi® - Redi® Flash Waterproofing Kits
Redi® Flash Kits will create a completely waterproof seam between your Tile Redi® Shower Base and the cement board walls. Redi® Flash Kits can be easily mounted to your wall studs above the splash walls of your Tile Ready® Shower Base.
Although Tile Ready® Shower Bases are waterproof, the seam between the cement board and the pan isn't protected by anything. This will allow water to enter the seam and create major problems with mold and mildew. To protect that seam, Tile Redi® offers the Redi® Flash Kit that ensures a fully water tight tile shower.
In addition to waterproofing this seam, make sure you are waterproofing your walls as well. Remember, cement board is only water-resistant...it is NOT waterproof.
